Your Questions About Exercise Bike Cycle

Betty asks…
will this exercise technique work? im trying to gain some muscle?
i do:
30 sit ups
20 push ups
30 jumping jacks
20 mins of 3 pound dumbbell curls while i cycle on the exercise bike (at home)
i do it 4 or 5 times in a week.
my main goals are to lose the fat in my thighs( i have thunder thighs ) and gain muscle at my arms, and grow taller, cuz im only 15 and still considered short for my age. (and for some reason, im also underweight)
i’ve been doing this for a month and (of cuz) there is no results yet. but im starting to qs myself if this exercise plan will actually help me get my goals.
somebody help me ![]()
Thank you

admin answers:
For muscle, increase weight on the dumbbell curls, do 4 sets and 8 – 10 reps per set, also do triceps extensions and triceps kickbacks, as the triceps makes up 2 thirds of the arm muscle.
As for your thighs, do Alto of squats, and lungs, that will sort it out quickly.
Remember that training takes a while, so stick to it and you should see results by month 3
also eat right

David asks…
Hybird or Road bike ?
Lower back suffer, would like to cycle for exercise, which bike would be less strenuous on the lower back

admin answers:
I too suffer from lower back pain. I have a great bike for on/off road but it is more about the right “fit” . Speak to your bike shop owner, tell him/her the problem and see what they suggest. Some models have long/short reach which can be helpful but can equally cause problems if you get it wrong for you. Simply adjusting the height of the saddle and bars also makes a difference. See if you can try before you buy. A bike needs to be comfortable for you and not add to any back problem so take your time choosing.
